People who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do" - Steve Jobs
That line has stuck with me since I was young. I've always been fascinated by how technology actually works underneath the surface, how a satellite lightyears away can be told what to do by the touch of a single button at someone's desk, how something as ordinary as a telephone is, when you really think about it, a small miracle of engineering. There's no real ceiling to what technology can do, every decade seems to prove that whatever we think is the limit, isn't. That curiosity is what pulled me toward Computer Science, not as just another degree to get through, but as a gateway into building things that genuinely matter. I'd rather spend my time discovering my own path than walking one someone else already laid out, that's the part that excites me most about this field, it's still being written.
Outside of academics and internships, I play football and train regularly at the gym, both have taught me a kind of discipline that carries over into everything else I do. I follow Formula 1 closely, partly for the racing and partly because it sits at this fascinating intersection of engineering, design, and split-second decision-making under pressure, which honestly mirrors a lot of what draws me to product work. I'm drawn to well-built tech products and the thinking behind them, and Steve Jobs in particular has shaped how I see the overlap between design, technology, and ambition, not just what he built, but how relentlessly he cared about the details no one else would notice. My first real hands-on project was back in 8th grade: an automatic hand sanitiser dispenser built with IR sensors and an Arduino board. It wasn't much, but it's where the instinct to actually build things, rather than just learn about them, first kicked in and that instinct hasn't really left since, whether it's through code, design, or whatever I end up tinkering with next.
